1. Agreement to Terms

By joining our waitlist, using naturescout.app, or installing the future mobile application (collectively the "Service"), you agree to these terms.

2. Development Phase & Waitlist

NatureScout is currently in active development and is not yet available in the App Store or Google Play. Registering on this site reserves your spot in line but does not guarantee immediate access. Features are subject to change during this testing phase.

3. App Accounts

Access to the app requires a Google Account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it.

4. Future Paid Services

The core NatureScout experience will be free. However, we reserve the right to introduce paid premium features (e.g., unlimited AI scanning) in the future. In-app purchases will always be clearly marked and processed through Apple or Google payment systems.

5. Real-World Safety Liability

Our app encourages outdoor activity. Users and parents are fully responsible for their physical safety while using the app. We are not liable for injuries, trespassing, or other incidents that occur while exploring nature.

6. AI Accuracy & Biological Information

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to identify species. AI models can produce incorrect results. Do not rely on NatureScout for medical, safety, or survival purposes, specifically regarding the edibility or toxicity of plants, fungi, or animals. Always consult a professional or official field guide.

7. Gamification and Virtual Progress

The Service includes gamification elements such as experience points (XP), levels, titles, badges, and quest slots (collectively "Virtual Rewards"). These Virtual Rewards are intended solely for entertainment and to track your personal progress within the Service.

• No Monetary Value: Virtual Rewards have no real-world monetary value and do not constitute property of any kind. They cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash or any physical goods.
• No Guarantee: We reserve the right to modify, reset, or remove any Virtual Rewards or progress at any time, especially during the testing and development phase.

8. Nature Etiquette and Safety

While using NatureScout to discover and capture nature, you agree to:

• Respect Wildlife: Respect wildlife and natural habitats. Do not disturb animals or damage plants.
• Protect the Environment: Minimize your impact on nature. Avoid littering and follow Leave No Trace principles. Stay on marked paths where required.
• Follow Laws: Follow local laws and regulations regarding nature exploration. Do not trespass on private property or other restricted areas
• Ensure Safety: Ensure your own safety and the safety of others while using the app outdoors. Always be aware of your surroundings and take necessary precautions.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
